This is the first chapter of the manga.
Summary[]
Shin finishes working, but realizes he has no one to go home to (no family nor a lover). Then he questions why he's living on Earth to himself as he's about to cross a street. He doesn't look out for cars and gets hit by a truck when crossing and dies. After that, it went to Merlin finding shelter from the rain. He heads towards a forest and finds a horse-drawn carriage with four (presumably) people outside of it, including the horse, dead. He suspects they were killed by monsters and starts to pray for them, but then he hears a cry from a new born baby. He immediately goes to the baby and heals it, saying it's a miracle that the baby's alive. He then notes that the baby is strong willed and takes it as his own to raise. It must be destiny.
