Diseum von Earlshide (ディセウム フォン アールスハイド Diseumu fon Ārusuhaido) is the current king of the Earlshide Kingdom.
Appearance[]
Diseum, as Shin describes as a middle-aged uncle who has a head of golden hair, sports a mustache, and has emerald-green eyes. He always wears very fine quality clothing and has a sense of style, charisma and has an aura of a capable company president.
Personality[]
Diseum's personality is lax and prefers to be called Uncle Dis by Shin as he himself sees Shin as his own nephew. His son August inherited his traits and personality. Due to the reason that Shin hadn't known about his royal status, he always called him Uncle Dis. He had the appearance of a sociable uncle. When Dis comes to Merlin's house, he always had difficult conversations with him about his worries and whatnot.
Chronology[]
Diseum was a student of the Advanced Magic Academy. During this time then, he participated in the subjugation of the first ever devil. He witnessed the devastation of the army and was prepared to die when Merlin and Melinda arrived to combat and defeat the threat. He became friends with the duo after they became celebrated as heroes.
After Diseum graduated from the academy, he accompanied Merlin Wolford and Melinda Bowen to live a vagabond life. Because he was treated as an apprentice or rather, a maid, the two treats him with little respect. Apparently, at that time, because he left his position as the Crown Prince behind, Julia, who was his fiancee at that time, still can’t get over that fact.[1]
