Shin's Magic Tools and his Engagement is the nineth episode of the Kenja no Mago anime.
Synopsis[]
One morning, Sicily asks Shin for a favor She wants him to tell her parents about dating. During the announcement to her parents, her mother asks Shin about his intentions and he agrees to an engagement.
Meanwhile, Merlin and Melinda thought that Sicily's parent thought Shin to be worthy of the hand of a noble because he was the grandson of the Magi and the Guru. After confessing that he was not their blood grandson, Sicily's parents (while a little offended) stated that it was Shin's dedication to Sicily that helped with their decision.
Shin also shows the Ultimate Magic Research Society his flight magic. He then informs the members that they are now ready to take on a Disaster Class Demon.
Later, Shin and Sicily have an engagement party, after which Shin properly proposes and gives Sicily a ring.

- Though the Claudes accept Shin dating Sicily, they make them get engaged as per noble customs. This makes Shin feel off, since it's not what he knows or planned; so even though they have a engagement party, he properly proposed to Sicily.
